if l didnt learn how to surf until l was like 19, could l still become a pro or do you have to be doing it since you are like 3 or something? like could l still get sponsered at an older age??

some dude turned pro last year at age 35, He is the oldest ever. l can not remember his name. If u train seriously & spend major time in the water u can do it, I'd bet money on it. But l think u will be 28 or 30 years old by the time u r a self supporting pro. If u specialize in huge waves, & live, without any career ending injuries, u might do it faster. You would have to be rich enough to chase the big swells around the globe in order to get enough experience.

if you learned to surf at 19 and turned pro at 20---you'd be world champ by 22, without a doubt.
if l were you i'd work on--getting good enough to at least get a decent sponsor--then start getting photographed--then start winning contests--then work on getting paid to surf (aka turning pro).

Age has nothing to do with it. Ability has everything to do with it. Either you are good enough, or you aren't.

Becoming a pro in anything takes a lot of hard work and determination, l never seen anyone turn pro by chance.

Do not worry about becoming pro, worry about becoming better and better. People just do not wake up one day glorified in there trade, you have to work for it.

Impossible you will never become professional sorry
