Hello!
l have recently been given a newish (3 year old) 17 seat minibus from my dad. l have a PCV license and have decided l could earn some money by offering surfers in london trips down to Croyde (One of the best beach breaks in the uk)
What would the surfers in London (There are 50,000!) think of this and would you be prepared to pay £30 for a return ticket setting off 7.30 am and returning 9pm the same day....5 hours surfing is enough for me!
Could any surfers out there give me some feedback!
Cheers :)

l do not live in the UK but l think you have a good idea. Maybe oven offer lunch or something. If there is a surf shop in London or Croyde maybe you could team up with them.

Yogi--i think kim has the right idea with teaming up with a shop, but that break has to be firing all the time to make it worth while.

It is a great idea. l wish somebody would do it near me. l am paying way too much for gas (petrol) to drive the two hour trip to the beach as often as I'd like. l like Kim is lunch suggestion, too. A cooler filled with sandwiches and cold drinks would be great.

At first l though that 60 pounds was a lot, but four hours of driving coupled with absurd gas prices & stuff, its probably a fair price.

the timing is perfect, five hours of surfing is great. l think this is probably a good idea, but u need some incentive like stopping for lunch at a cute little cafe or something. I've never been to croyde, but it sounds like a cool beach town.

l used to live in london & the l moved to the O.C in california, but i'm coming back soon so email me if this does work out cause i'd love to try it.

Bad Idea.
So you want to bring a crowd to a surf spot that is probably already crowded.
Here comes the bus.

That does not seem like a bad idea, however, you should probably leave earlier. If the people are not serious about surfing then it hardly matters, but there are sometimes much better conditions at dawn than early morning.

As a side note, you'd need to compensate for gas, which is a lot, at least here in the US. Maybe you could also sell surf wax, stuff like that.
