l do not know what kind of surfboard it
isbut , it is small and you stand on it. You
can only ride them onwavesclose to shore. l think there called skimboards or skidboards or something like that .
If you know what I am talking about and have any pointers for beginners on how to ride the damn things I'd really appreciate it lol. How much do they cost and how long does it take to learn how to use one?Websites with info would also be great!
Thanks in advance.

Skimboards r super easy to ride. After a wave breaks on the shore, it leaves a half inch of water on the sand. You run through that while carrying the board, then slide the board onto the water & jump on it. Advanced skimboarders will ride/skim into another wave & ride it. But most skimmers just ride the half inch of water on the shore.

My mom bought me one when l was 12. l think it only cost $30 but that was 15 years ago. I'd expect they cost at least $50 these days.

Skimboard.
THey're prety cheap and are not too hard to learn on.
The easiest way to start off is when a small wave has come onto the flat part of the sand you should push the board along with your hands and run behind it, Then jump on with your knees to get started.
Once you get better you can run along standing up, throw the baord down and jump on it. YOu can also do it on your stomach.

Skimboard, the price can vary a good one can be 15-30 dollars( at least in san diego) You can learn in youtube its easy and fun.
Or get someone that knows how to do it. Just give the time the right time to time it on time.
