l looked into the rusty redline, but idk what size for me?

im pretty good at surfing

Well if your short light and experienced l would recommend a surfboard around 6'. If you want more balance go for a board a few inches bigger.and if you want a board for quick cutbacks go for one a little shorter. It all depends on personal preference but l would recommend around 6'.

If you are a beginner you want a 7-8 foot longboard. If you already know the basics you could get like a 6'4 shortboard. If you are really good at surfing get a 5'10 board.

What happened to Perfection Surfboards? l have a few big name boards, but my favorites were made by a local shaper. l rarely ride my Merricks, or Stewart. You worked hard earning the money, so talk to the guys at the local shop before looking at a Rusty. They know more than strangers online. And these are mostly personal opinions.

if the waves are smaller, use a bigger board but l think you should use about a 6 or 7 foot board

if ur pretty good at surfing wouldnt you know what type of board ur ready for

l have to agree completely with Sufammo. Why not check with the folks at ur local shop. They might be able to recommend a really great stick made by a local shaper, that is just perfect for ur local breaks.

If u r dead set on the Rusty Redline, the 5'8'' is right for u now, but l do not know anything about you. Are u going to be 5'10'' 180 in two years? If that is the case, they go up in size incrementally, so u make the call.

Rusty r nice, l bought a nice Lost SDI l in March, but l really like my Allisons better (local North Carolina boards), so check out the shops around ur way before u commit to anything. I've owned dozens of boards since '66, & the best have been shaped by small business men rather than big corporate shapers. Good luck!
