is the best day to go learn to surf? in sandiego PB area? when will the waves be smallest?

l live around there too! l go to Mission beach, and Laholla beaches :) Those waves are pretty small and good but Laholla beaches are the best

l live in San Diego too. There r quite a bit of good surf spots up in La Jolla, but l hardly go up there because that is a 40 minute drive for me. Usually l go to IB because it is close & the waves r pretty good. I'd go to PB surf shop or Bob is Mission Surf & ask them how the waves r & what time of day is best. If you're okay with the drive, I'd say coronado has pretty small waves all year round, but l only go there a few times a year so maybe it is a coincidence. But because it is not a ''surf spot'' & attracts mainly tourists, there r very few people in waist deep or deeper water & even less people in the water trying to catch waves so u probably wo not run into anyone.
