l really wanna learn how to surf, but everyone knows Fort Myers Beach has some of the most pitiful surf on the Gulf Coast.
l even have a surf board! I've been waiting for a hurricane, but they never seem to come anymore. :(
Anyway, if anyone knows of the closest place to go for a place to learn how to surf please tell me.

Hey man its cool that u wanna learn but l suggest u do not learn during a hurricane..You will get tossed around even if it is on the Gulf & essentially u wont have any fun.
l know the gulf gets horrible surf.but just keep checking the surf cams & what not. Il post a link for a website where u can check the swell in that area..all u need is ankle high to get aquatinted with ur board & the concept of surfing.
