im a surfer and is there anywhere l can go to get sponsored

what l think you should do to try to get sponcered is to go to a lot of surf comps and if you do good on a couple ask different brands or go to like a surf shop that sponcers other people. you could also try to find them on websites. but l think first before you get sponcered you have to go into alot of competition and have the town or city know your name and here from you. but anyway good luck and thats all l got for you.

How good are you? Do you compete? Do you win? If the answer to all of the above is yes, start at your local surf shop, almost all have sponsored teams. or at least get you started in the process. If the answer is no to any of the above, come back later.

What you want to do is start contacting companies an asking them what they require etc. to be sponsored. Most companies ask you to amkea film of you surfing and send it in.

what you need to do is enter lots of contests, know some people, and have somebody to video or take pictures of you surfing, preferablly a video. then you send in the vids to a sponsor such as volcom and ask them for a sponsor. or you could do really good in contests and get recognized by the sponsors. you have to be good if you want big sponsors

If you are good enough then you can go online to the website of the company you want to be sponsored by and under the faqs they will have a question about getting sponsored. Read that and it will tell you where to send a video tape of yourself surfing. Then they may sponsor you if you are good enough.

get good. get ur name out there. maybe do a couple of contests. DONT send tapes to any company headquarters--get them to the local reps--they will be the ones to put u on ''flow'' first. if u send a tape--dont suck on it--i've seen too many of those. if u r good--people will talk--you will get picked up. if u r good & u arent sponsored--dont cover ur board with stickers. if u end up getting picked up--dont expect much from ur sponsor until u prove ur worth. its a tough business.
