Just moved to the Long Beach, CA area and I am interested in picking up a used 8-9 foot surf board to learn the sport. Any suggestions on where to buy one? l know eBay, but I am looking for a local shop that wo not charge me an arm and a leg.

Craigslist is good too. or ask around your neighborhood- there will prob be lots of people selling them or know someone who has one for sale.
