is there any surfing in Bahia (Salvador) Brasil?
are there any really good places to surf?

Surf Period: From April to September, Southern Brazil (most of the spots) catches east to south swells produced in Antarctica. From November to March, the north of Brazil (especially Fernando do Noronha) catches northern swells.
The waves are not that big in Brazil, but lots of pros go there so it is not terrible.
