There is a guy at my school- he competes for the guy is division of the bodyboarding team there (we do not have a girls bodyboarding team). Nobody really knows l bodyboard (I am pretty good too- l can do 360's, airs, rollos, you name it) but l never tell anyone because they think it is weird that a girl bodyboards. Anyway, l saw this guy (who is top ranked at our school) out in the water. He always used to say hi to me, we'd talk at school, but now, after seeing him out in the water, he never talks to me anymore- in fact he completely ignores me. l did not cut him off or take any of his waves or anything. Why wo not he talk to me now that he knows I am a bodyboarder?

He is jealous.

If what u say is true, u need to take action & make a team for girls. Your voice will make it so. l am serious, go as high as u can in regards to front office personnel. Do it.
As for ur guy probs, Do not pay attention to him. Thats the best u can do, If he is not paying attention to u - do the same. A successful girl/ confident girl (whos good at what she does) & does not pay attention to the guy is SO attractive, just do what u do on the surf & try & establish a girls team. See what puzzle pieces fall into place.

guys can smell insecurity like dogs smell fear. You need to let go of your insecurities, stop worrying what people will think of you for being a ''sponge hugger'' or what some guy thinks of you. The more you think about it the more insecure and awkward you look to them. Nothing is more attractive than self confidence. It is not about self esteem, it is about no self-estimation, just humility and being who you are, who you love to be.

l suspect that u damaged his fragile, teen age male ego. It is hard to be the Big Man on Campus body boarder, when some insignificant chick body boards better than him. (No u r not insignificant, l am spinning that from his angle).

Now, u r cool, & l am sure u r pretty, l can tell u r smart (you r one of the few people who l have seen write a grammatically correct question on this site), & l bet u body board really well, too. With all of that said, why do u need this wanker to talk to u in the first place. There r lots of guys other who r dying to talk to you, they just can not get up the nerve. be yourself, ignore him, & somebody much nicer will want to talk to you.
