Dudes, hoping for some storms to at least churn the ocean here in the southeast?l am!

l hear ya. Lake Atlantic has been terrible lately. Here in Charleston, we have not had a good day in about 2 weeks. It drives me crazy when its as flat as it is right now. Ca not even take out the funshape just to mess around. August can not get here fast enough.

as l gulf coast surfer l am praying for some good strong storms to come into the gulf, give us awesome surf, and then magically dissipate without causing any damage or just turn around and go back out to sea.

im waiting for something in the coast of mexico to happen because im hoping to get some kind of surf while im in Galveston this summer

You got good waves last week, could be worse. But yes, l always look forward to hurricane season, as long as they stay of the coast.

i live in santa barbara, and my friend is taking me to hawaii, waimea bay and the Pipe, so it is going to be alsome.

The Atlantic has been lousy for the last month or so. l was in South Carolina in March, & had some good days, & there were some stormy days (all 'Victory at Sea' in New Jersey) but basically it sucked. This past weekend, l thought l was at Lake Michigan instead of the Atlantic Ocean. Unfortunately, l hate the toll that named storms take on our coastal living. l do like those tropical depressions that veer north & stay out to sea. They produce some really great swells without getting washing machine crazy. Of course, u poor guys in the Gulf, l guess u do need at least a near miss to get anything to ride.

l am with the first answerer, it is been lake atlantic for a while, my only dislike about hurricane season is the choppiness and strong currents, otherwise hurray! So yes!
