did you like it would you rather just paddle alittle harder. also what a good company to get your first sponcor from?

l realize that ''tow in'' surfing is probably the great innovation in the sport in the opening years of the 21ST century. And, l am sure that some HUGE wave surfing might not be possible without a tow. However, the very idea of using a machine to surf bothers me. l do not even like it when l have to smell the stinking exhaust from jet skis when guys ride by outside the line up. l live in a CITY. It stinks, it is full of noisy smelly machines. l surf to be free from that crap. Surfing is just me, my board & the ocean. And l think that is the way it should be.

Looking for a sponsor, go talk to the folks at ur local surf shop. Lots of shops sponsor teams and/or have contacts with persons in the industry who do sponsor surfers.

Tow-ats r fun, but in my opinion, not really surfing. Its sick cause it gives u speed, allowing u to get all gnar airs. l use it to practice, cause there isnt always the right conditions. but it does take a bit away from the sport. tow-ats shouldnt be done by people who want to surf but not pop-up, thats pretty gay. actually getting up is a challenging part, u dont usually see it in surf videos but even ppl like dane reynolds or slater dont make it every time.

you may think itd be sick to get sponsored by quiksilver or volcom, & it probably would be. boat trips on the Indies Trader, the volcom house. u know, the oneill house on the north shore once held over 300 grand worth of boards in the basement. to be able to throw boards away instead of fixing them. but, l think its better to get in on a company thats just starting, so when they make it big, you're there for the ride, youve been loyal & will be rewarded. especially in cali, theres tons of companies starting up, & if u get in on the ground floor, u will be more recognized, instead of being sponsored by quiksilver & forever compared to slater.
