anybody ever shoot the pier at ocean city nj

Nope but l did it at the pier in Oceanside CA.

l did The pier at 30th street in Avalon once, by mistake. l got slammed in a huge northeaster surf, all ''Victory at Sea'' type of day. l was riding a pretty new funshape board, & the current put me right in between a set of pilings. l wiped out, & tried not to look too much like a kook, & l lost my board, & the stupid leash wrapped around a piling. l had all l could do to not look completely stupid, prevent my board from getting shredded by the barnacles on the piling, & trying to get myself off the piling, before l drowned, & looked ULTIMATELY stupid. All the while, trying to look ''cool'' . Needless to say, my board & l survived. Nobody came rushing over to laugh at me. So, l walked back up the beach. opposite the current, & paddled out again.
