l do surf but l want people to know that l do at school.!!!
and wat brand of shoes and how like with rips and make them look all worn out?? if so how could l get them ripped fast and like not in a year!!??????
Please HELP ME NEED ADVICE!!!

Just talk to peopel & make friends, mention u surf. Surf clothes, hell, so many people wear them. For instance, the Billabong & Quiksilver stores in NYC, not surf shops, they're clothing stores. Best way to let people know u surf is make friends & ask them if they want to go surf. Or just paddle out in the lineup & meet people. And surfers do not wear all the same clothes, just look at Donovan or Jamie O. Anyway, surf brand clothing is kinda mixed in with skating too. So like Vans & stuff like that. But if u want people to know u surf, tell 'em.

Surf clothes do not a surfer make! l have been surfing for 42 years. When l was a kid, l dressed like any other kid. l grew up & l dressed like other adults. l did not need a costume to feel like a surfer. It is what is in ur heart, & how u feel in the water that makes u a surfer, not how u talk or dress. There r probably people reading this stuff now, who r wearing all kinds of surfing clothes, but live in Nebraska & have never even seen the ocean. Be yourself, both at land & in the line-up, & u will be much happier in the long run. l know it is tough being a teenager, just go surfing, & feel the joy.

l definitely agree with John. That is so true. When u truly love to surf the joy just shines right through u & people will notice. You can tell someone is a surfer just by the way they carry them self. Do not act it..be it, & do not try either. Not all surfers look like & r bums. The reason why some of them do is because they just do not care about looks, all they want is surf. Be yourself. Become a better surfer, by practicing & doing it because u want to. l live in hawaii & u can tell who is the real surfer & whose not. Posers definitely wear surf clothes. My surfer boyfriend wears nice button down shirts to school with jeans & regular skate shoes (no holes might l add) but when he is out there surfing, people know he is one of the best out there. Be yourself bro.

It sounds like u want dumb people to think u look like a surfer. In that case, why not go to the hairdresser & get them to put al kinds of blonde highlights in ur hair & ruff it all up so that it looks like you're been in the surf all day, everyday. A bottle of fake tan will help u look all brown & tanned too.

Get yourself a pair of reef sandles or those new Donovan Frankenreiter shoes that r in all the magazines now & just wear dirty boardshorts to school everyday. A t-shirt with some kind of slogan on it like ''Charlie do not surf'' or ''Jack the Ripper'' would get the point accross. Otherwise, on e-bay, u can probably find an old t-shirt from some exotic surf destination like Bali or Hawaii or the Gold Coast, just to make people think you're been there. That would go nice with a Hawaiian Lei, or chain of flowers around the neck & a pair of the latest ''Electric'' brand sunglasses - get the Bruce Irons one - he is cool. Grow a bit of stubble, if u can & u will look every inch the cool surfer dude to anyone who does not know any better.

Or u could just put all that effort into going surfing everyday & looking good in the water, rather than at school. l think u will get more respect that way
