If your just starting out, just buy a used board. Go on craigslist, or check local surf shop and buy something cheap. If you dig surfing, you are going to want a shorter board once you get the hang of it. If you dont dig surfing, you arent out as much money.

Skate or surf? If you're talking skate most people would recommend Sector Nine but it depends on what you are looking for. l have an Arbor koa wood pintail that l really love.

theres no way you will find a new good quality longboard for under $200. sorry. try used boards.
