yeah theres locals who r real aggro about people taking the wave that they have been waiting for all day. theres a pecking order in the line up wait ur turn no matter how much of a hot shit u are. Its just straight up disrespect to go in & just drop in on someone whose been waiting for his or her turn just like today

l paddled out a little too late & the tides have gotten to the wave so l been waiting for ever just to get a nice fun wave l waited patiently & finally a wave that was like chest high with a clean face was coming & l paddled & l was already pumping for speed at least 3 other guys try dropping in untill l yelled out. then this KOOK with yellow flower print board shorts whose body was red from the water temp still attempted to drop in no matter how many times l yelled his board dug in he ate it & his board flew straight up l had to avoid him so l got smashed by the lip & this kook had the nerve to give me the ''look'' so l paddled right next to him waiting for him to try & catch something & as soon as he was about to stand up l pulled on his leash & watch him get demolished

l got him back in a funny way other people throw words then throw fist depending what break youre going to & how bad the vibe is

If you do not know what you're doing and the locals see that, they will just tell ya, and no hassles....
But if you snake on purpose, you can get a nice beating.

Almost happened to me! l had to outrun about 15 angry locals!

This my friends is why u travel with a crew. but more importantly, talk to the people around you. Make some friends. And when u screw up say my bad. most surfers r really low key & just out there to enjoy themselves. You really have to go out of ur way to piss them off.

But there always seems to be that one guy who stresses out so much. Not sure if he is trying to quit smoking or make the word tour, but he just screams at anyone that gets near him. Best bet is to give this guy his distance.

And always travel in a crew. You should have at least one buddy along with you. Not necessarily to get ur back in the parking lot, but because surfing can be dangerous, & u should never go into the water alone.
