Do most surfers live within walking distance from the beach

No l surf and l live in a place where we rarely get waves. l have to travel 340 miles to go surfing but l still love it.

l live in manchester UK, not traditional surf country, but im hooked,been hawaii,NZ aus, and france so far,love it!!

Most. l live in between the city and beach, so i'm in the middle of everything, but l still get out and surf everyday.

Well at the moment l am living inland -- like 150 miles to a beach, but it is winter and l am in the UK. after spring l will be back to my old place and that is 10 walk to the beach and all the fun l can have.
l would normally surf winter breaks but work has prevented me.

someone mentioned above they cannot surf the UK??
l am a Cornwall surfer and we have no probs, then there is devon, scotland, ireland.

Well l live in Southern California and l have to drive only about 30 min. to the beaches l surf at. Where l live you have to have a lot of money to live in walking distance of the beach but l am not going to complain about only 30 min.

NO! Once upon a time, l lived at the beach (in a seashore town, not on the 'beach' itself). Now l live two hours from the ocean, and l still surf very chance l get. l live in the northeast US, and l even drive ten/twelve hours south sometimes to surf in the winter. Not to be too critical, but your question is like asking, ''''Do most skiers live within walking distance of the mountain?''
