not everyone can longboard ..i mean REALLY longboard
hang ten, cross step, etc.

What is better is when you can surf no matter the conditions.

Some times and places are better to short board and some are better to long board. Also some areas it is better to sponge or skim.

Being an all around water person is the best.

depends. If u like fast action big waves shortboarding. But if u like relaxing and just chillin out. Longboard. Personaly longboarding is my fav.

No one is to say which one is more better
they both are pleasing
they both posses qualities that differ from each other..

there is no better any time you get out to surf is great. people have there preference it all up to you. l short and long board. depends on the shape and size

Not to get deep on you or anything but . . . It is all in your mood. If you feel like ripping it up and carving some glass than shortboard. But if you are just in it for the cruise and experience than longboard. My opinion, ya gotta have one of both that you can fling back and forth on.

if you like waves with a lot of action shortboarding. but for taking it easy longboardings great. l love Both!!!
