l surf and l love it but its time for a new board im like 5'3 and l am like 95 pounds l used to have a 7'3 bic board but l want a fiber glass one l am pretty good and surf 3-5 foot waves and this summer will be my 4th or 5th year surfing but l dont know what kind of board to get next the last one was way too big

go to a professional and have him show you different board options. Some people like a lean light board while others like heavy ones.

Get a seven footer and hang on for dear life.

with your height, 6 should be PERFECT.

if u want a good size board, & ur looking to do hits on the wave, & maybe snaps, & not just ride the wave, then u will want a board that is 3-4 inches taller than you. but if u know that ur growth spirt is coming or if ur still growing, then get a board that is maybe 5 or 6 inches taller, so u can use it a lot, an not out grow it.

another tip is if u can, get an epoxy board rather than fiberglass. they r 2x lighter, & r almost impossible to get any dings on when campared to fiberglass.

also, when u get to the shop ur buying the board at, tell the guy what ur looking for & if he has any suggestions on what ur looking for or what is good.
