Hi l am a 13 yr old living in perth WA and am wondering how l would get sponsered by O'Neill,Billabong,Quiksilver,Rip Curl etc.

l am not sure if this goes for surfing (I've never tried to get sponsered) but for skateboarding have a friend make a video of you surfing and show some tricks. Then go to your local shop and see if they have a team.

Or with pro sponsers like those possibly at a contest there might be some big time sponsers there, and if you do good they come and ask around some of the surfers.

But start out small your 13 you have time haha =]

Rip, tear, shred, get seen. Enter loads of cometitions. Dont rely on the big boys to sponser you. try and get a board shaper/board factory to sponser you.

Plus your too old to just be gettin into it. plus you wo not get automatically sponsored by the big guys, you have to start at like your local shop and work your way up.
alot of times big companies wo not even consider you unless you get a recommendation from your local shop..etc.
Plus you have to compete regularly.
