Yes, l do regularly at least 3 times a day l make fun of paddle surfers. Idioits god that is so dumb l wish they would find a real sport.

No. Here in Hawaii it is a very popular sport, and growing lots. l have to say, its really frustrating because they can sit on the outside and paddle in easier, which sometimes pisses me off because they can hog all the waves unless we snake em. Looks fun, but they should respect us paddle surfers.

l would think l not. l myself am not a paddle surfer, but a regular surfboard surfer. l have seen paddle surfers out & about though, very popular in Oregon. They r respected. Paddle surfing is a sport just like any other & is a highly regarded water sport. It builds stamina & builds lots of muscle in the arms & shoulders. It was started by Hawaiians, as surfing was (at least to popular belief). One difference between the modern idea of surfing & SUP is that the latter does not need a wave.

no, not if you actually tried it and see how hard it really is on the core. It is those that leave the board on their car and it never touches the water, unless when it rains!

Now do l laugh when l see people out there for hours on end just trying to stand up on it? Yes l do. l am not joking the sport though.

l agree with Dwayne.. =] as long as you dont hog all the waves, its ok..its not very nice to do that since you are not putting as much effort as the rest of us. But l read in an article that some jackass was SUP'n with closed shoes and a hoodie with shorts on. l mean COME ON!!

NO towin surfers shud get made fun of..it takes no skill to get towed into a wave..the hardest part of surfing is standing up..once ur up its easy from there

l believe all kinds of surfers should be respected because each kind has its challenges. However that being said l recently read in a surfing magazine a scathing article against paddle surfers. Like l said l dont agree with it. Anyways If you like it surf it man dont worry what others think of you. If they think their so great you should make them try it im sure theyll find its not as easy as they think.
