Are you asking for them to be the most famous guitar playing surfer?

l would vote Jack Johnson for that, or last he is the most successful. Kelly Slater plays guitar and is by far more famous as a surfer than Jack but not as famous as a musician.

How about Dick Dale. He was a fair surfer in the early late 50s-early 60s but is known as the ''King of the Electric Guitar'' now. He is in the Surfing Hall of Fame, Country and Western Hall of Fame and the Music Hall of Fame. l asked him one time what he felt first, the rhythm from the waves he caught or the beat from his music. Unfortunately it was the beat from the music. Many of us have felt that rhythm over the years when we took off on big waves.
