l recently fell off my surfboard and the fin cut my leg and l ended up in the emergency room getting stitches. l looked into these proteck safe fins that are supposed to stop you from getting cut. If anybody knows anything about these fins plz tell me about them. How well do they work and how do they perform. Also could you plz send me a link of where l could buy them for a quad lockbox set up.... thanks
Also l am aware that they have different stiffnesses.... which one would you recommend ty
Does the stiffer version of the Pro Teck fins protect against cuts as well as the softer version. If not do they still work well??

l am sure that they r hydrodynamically sound, & they will function to a satisfactory level. However, l agree with the Surfboard man, stick with ''real'' fins. The big name fin manufacturers spend a fortune designing & testing their products, & l am sure they r superior. l am sorry u got cut up, but it sort of goes with the territory, so to speak. l have sprained, strained & broken all kinds of body parts surfing, & l have been so cut up l looked like the loser in a sword fight. But l am still at it, after 42 years. Remember, skin heals.

Protek fins are fine for beginners, which is why l use them on my lesson boards. However, they are pretty useless for any more advanced or aggressive surfing. Basically, they slide out a lot and do not hold the line well. Getting cut by your fins does happen, but if its happening with any regularity then you might want to re-examine your surfing.

l had my fin stab me in the inner thy next to my balls.it was a close one, 50 stiches!!!
