I am 5'11'' (1.8m) nd weigh 154lbs (75kg). What is the right size surfboard to begin with.any sizing sites would be helpful!

Starting off, big as u can get. Make sure it is cheap cause you're definitely gonna progress quickly with it (or u can buy a good one & save it for ur old days! Your choice).

When you're standing up quickly, riding the unbroken part of the wave & starting to turn, get a funboard from 6'3 to 7'0. Does not matter what size, just make sure it is hell thick!

When u get the hang of the fun board & you're getting sick of it (you might not, l know heaps of people who still love their funboards!), then move down to a thinner shortboard. Every progress to a shorter board is tricky, but u will get the hang of it!

If u start to get pretty good with ya fun board, I'd recommend a 6'0 to 6'3 board for ya. l weigh bout the same as u (cept l am 6'2. Yup l am a lanky bitch) & l ride a 6'1. Your weight affects shortboards more than height l reckon.
