What is yo favourite fin and why
me? I am a fcs man cause of the versaitiliy of their fins (I've found the PC-5 is really great all round fins. Futures are generally more specific for conditions as well as being pretty heavy...

Never tried glass ons, l will one day!

FCS beacuse thats the fin system all my boards have. l would like to get futures on my next board though.

Glass-ons are more performance but they tend to become loose after a few years of surfing.

l do like fcs fins. they are great because, as you said, they have great versitility. During vaca. in Hawaii a group of guys showed me how to use glass ons. Its okay but l liked the fcs better. The main reasonbehind glass ons is to get a perfect cut through the water. the fcs though is clearly more versitile in rough water glass ons but other stick with fcs.

l like future fins, I've got some Vector Black Stix, sick fins. Glass on fins are pretty sick too, but gotta be careful with em.

l have boards with both, & l find that the shaper is pick has usually been okay for me. For instance, FCS does not make a fin that works as well in a twin fin configuration as does Futures. Also, l surf on the east coast, where two consistent days in a row is rare, so it is hard to judge fin performance from one session to another. Glass ons r great, if u have the right fin design for the board & u local waves. The only drawback with them is u can not take out when pack ur board for air travel.

definitely FCS, mainly for the same reasons for you. l hate glass on fins though. l had a board with glass ons, and it was a pain trying to take it anywhere because you cant take the fins off. then when l went to surf a reef break with it once, l fell pretty bad and 2 of the fins broke off. it was so expensive to get them fixed, so l generally dont like surfing with glass ons

I'd go with futures, the vector Black stix are nice, you'd have to take better care of glass ons.

FCS. Once FCS came out, l never even thought about going back to glass ons.

2 of my boards are FCS, 1 is Futures and my fish is ProBox. Of the three l prefer ProBox the most. Why? Well first of they are easy to install and since l shaped it myself that was important. Second, because their boxes are designed so that you can move the fin forward and back and change the box insert to get different cant angles.

Of the other 2 it is a toss up. They each have their perks, FCS is lighter but Futures is stronger.
