l know there is epoxy boards but what brands make fiberglass boards?thanks

If you google fibreglass surfboards you will surely find 100's, good luck!

l am not 100% sure but l do not think there is a such thing as an epoxy surfboard. Epoxy is a glue used in all surfboards, so l am guessing that all surfboard companies make fiberglass and foam boards.

Fiberglass boards can be made by almost any brand. l would search for some local shapers or a surf shop in your area and they will have or make a fiberglass surfboard for you.

If u want a fiberglass surfboard, then just ask for one, just because they make epoxy does not mean that their fiberglasses r crap. ALL surfboards have foam in them except for solid wood surfboards, ''kook boxes'' & carbon fiber (it does have a little, but it is hollow). Nearly all mainstream brands make fiberglass boards, & so do local shapers (support them!)

You really can not get a board made of only fiberglass and foam you need a resin to hold it all together. That is why they use epoxy, but there are other resins out there. like polyester and vinylester resins, but I've only seen those two resins used in skimboards.

This is sort of a confusing question. MOST manufacturers & local shapers make their boards using polyester resin. Using epoxy resin over glass cloth is newer technology (in the surf industry, it has been around for boats for years). Now, many large manufacturers have started adding epoxy boards to their product line. Unfortunately, almost all of the ''popout'' manufacturers r using epoxy, but that does not 'per se' make an epoxy board a popout. Davo surfboards (a small SC shaper) r all fine, handshaped boards, but the r coated with epoxy resin instead of PE. They r lighter & more durable. Unfortunately, epoxy boards tend to be a little too 'floaty', but that is off on a whole other tangent.
And most of the big manufacturers still use polyurethane foam blanks, although lighter extruded polystyrene blanks r becoming very popular. And again, they r eps blanks r widely used by the popout factories, but that does not make all eps boards 'bad'.
