l can not tell u a thing about bikes. But l have been around surfing for a long time. Even if it was possible to answer you, on-line, u left out all the important stuff, like ur skill level, & where u surf. This question comes up a lot on YA Surfing, & it is impossible to answer it accurately on-line. Although l am sure u will get lots of ''advice'' the real BEST ANSWER is to go to a good local surf shop & discuss ur skill level, ur size & local wave conditions with the folks there. they will give u much better info than ANYBODY out here in cyberspace. You should really think about buying a decent board, & avoiding popouts , & boards made in sweat shops in China, unless that is just all u can afford. And do not forget, there r always used boards for sale in every surf shop. After 42 years of surfing, l still get my surfboard buying advice at good local shops in the places where l surf.
And, l know there r lots of nice kids who want to share information with u on line. But do not take the advice from youngsters, who may know even less than u do about surfing, a surfboard is a big investment.

If u have never surfed get a long board. Go to a surf shop & get some advice on the right size for you. Better yet find some buddies who have boards & try theirs out & see if u like what they have. But a longboard is good to surf almost anywave & the best to learn on. John F is pretty much on point but l disagree slightly about pop outs. Pop out long boards for beginners l think can be great buys, u really do not have the skills yet to notice the difference plus the pops outs sometimes r little more durable (more glass - which also makes it heavier) than a custom board & beginners may not break them as easily. But otherwise invest in quality products & get advice from u local shop.
If u want a specific size I'd say a 9 foot, 22 in, 23/4 to 3 in.

l have no idea about the bikes because l just ride any bike thats in my garage. surfboard wize. l am 5 foot 6, & l ride a 5'8 but it depends on u what level of surfing u r up to, because a beginner will ride about a 7-9ft board but a pro would ride 5-6ft & it also depends how big of a wave u usually ride. you need to ask someone with experience that u can talk to in person not online. you can just hire boards until u find the right size then buy! hope this helps

well l can put it simple. most of the people answering surfing questions dont know too much about bikes, so go to a bike shop or ask in a different category. for surfing, nobody here knows your ability and what you are looking for. for the best results, go to a surf shop.
