i'm planning on doing some snorkeling and surfing. Do you think l need a wetsuit? I am going this weekend and figured I'd just bring a rash guard.

Not really, the water temperature is generally around 80 degrees, one think you will need is board shorts for surfing.

no you dont my Dad has a worker named kikoa and hes from hawaii he surfs and he dosen`t were a wetsuit

Well if you are swimming at night or if you get cold very fast yes bring one.

You will never need a full suit in hawaii as the water temp is about 74+ year round. If you tend to get cold you can always wear a spring suit when dawn patrolling or night surfing.

No. But, if you do at night, wear a wet shirt. It might get a bit cold.

You should be fine with just boardshorts.

No not at all because the water temperature is really nice and warm. But you will need a wetsuit in other surfing hotspots like Galicia in Spain.
