Particularly the Flexfire at about 6ft? For an east coast surfer? and for a surfer that is 150 lbs., 5 9 but for a beginner?

if ur a beginner l dont think those will be good for u, but they are expensive and for a bigennner get a cheaper board they can range from$500 and up

not for a beginner. Do not get caught up in the hype.

Not for a beginner dude, especially if you are stepping down from a fun board. Go get a mid sized used short board and try it out. You're probably going to have to trade your way through a couple before you find what works bets for you. Do not get caught up in trying to buy the latest stuff. $700 for a board is a lot if you end up not being able to ride it.

prob not the best board for a beginner. You should try a foam board to start out:
