l have. its fun, needs a full moon if you want to be able to do it well. hard to judge the wave size without light. fun as can be though.

l have and it is so cool if your not scared but it is very dangerous u could be attacked by a shark that is when they mostly feed

Only disadvantage is you can not see your surrounding swimmers, be it aquatic or human. Other than that, the sun is up somewhere in the world.

The ocean at night.in the water.. splashing around.are not sharks are notorious night feeders? Ever see the beginning of the movie JAWS?.NO WAY!!

like that only the sounds (no thats ur heart) of the break, feel of the waves pulling and the sweet ride..beautiful!!!
in closing, when the sun goes down, smaller fishes come closer to shore for protection and predators too. Its been
going on since day one..Do it once for experience.see if
its UR LAST RIDE..

who ever says theyve surfed at night is lying, its nearly impossible to see
but ive seen ppl pull their cars on the beach and put the high beams on and surf
there are no advantages to surfing at night
sharks are out feeding, the waves are usually bigger, the currents are stronger, cant see what your doing so its hard to resurface or duck dive, and the water is freezing
no one wants to surf at night,
thats usually why the beach is empty

l have a few times under the full moon.
Advantages: No crowds, a thrill.
Disadvantages: Taking off on a wave bigger than realised and getting drilled. And not seeing that Fin.

Surfing by moonlight is hella cool. But be sure your board has a line, so you can find it in the surf. And consider a wet suit if you live in northern climate -- its much colder at night.

Yes they do. It has to be near a pier with lights or by the light of the full moon

yes people do surf at night. the advantages are that there is less people. but disadvatages are it is colder. there are tons of others but those are the biggest!

surfing under a bright full moon or pier lights in small clean beach surf can be super fun. There is no one else to crowd you.
surfing at night in stormy surf over rocks can be super dangerous. There is no one else to save you.

Yeah it is awesome if u get the chance to do it.At the end of the summer every year on my local beach we have midnight surfing three nights in a row.
It is so cool ciz there r less people around so ur not crowded n people who do r usually gud surfers n r really into it so its super cool to discuss different moves.
Plus if there r girls around its so romantic-this is the only time in the year that y parents allow me to night surf cuz there is adequate supervision for kids but when im older l reckon it would be a great first date-you have to do it man.
