Dude, they trash the local lineup here in Malibu.
They are dangerous and out of control of their boards.
They do not take the time to learn surf etiquette.
First point is not a beginner break...to crowded!

1. Rememder, u were a beginner once too.
2. It is part of the sport
3. Get up & paddle out earlier, it is better for u anyways
4. Move yourself to a more secluded break
5.They will be gone once summer is over
6. It is not ''your'' break. The Ocean is free, this is America, not Nazi Germany
7. Talk to the rookies, & gently explain to them the local etiqutte. They will appreciate it, & it will keep matters safer.
8. Recomend to them a nice ''beginner'' break, they will appreciate that, & may try it out & leave.
9. Become part of the solution. If there is no solution, then just deal with things the way they are. Complaining rarely solves anything.
10. It will get worse as the sport progresses. If u do not like it, u should quit surfing & find religion. Try reading Jesus' ''sermon on the mount''. It will help u deal with ur anger issues.
11. l was born on a volcanic island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, spent 7 years in the US Navy, been 1,000 ft below the ocean surface, sailed in 40' seas in weather so bad that it knocked 2 planes out of the sky, I've surfed 20 years in the Atlantic, Pacific & the Gulf of Mexico, l kayak, row crew, & snorkel, & l am telling u that the Ocean is FREE. It belongs to no one, but if it did belong to anyone, it would belong to me (not some one dimensional local), & l lay no claims to any ''surf spot''.
12. l have never surfed Malibu, but if l ever did, & someone paddled up to me & told me that it was a ''locals only u had better believe that l am going to run their ss over.
13. The Malibu break is a lovely break. l wish l had a break like that up here where l live, but all we got up north is a bunch of crap. l will trade a crappy crowdless break for a good crowded break any day.
14. So calm down. Keep it safe. Keep it courteous. A little bump on a surfboard rarley hurts anyone. Enjoy what u got, & be thankful that ur live in Malibu & not in the 100+ degree valley. The valley boys deserve a few tastey waves too.

l totally agree with you. Just yesterday l was surfing a local break & It was packed with kooks. Guys on kayaks, spongers, swimmers, tourists on softboards & even some normal locals who can not show any respect. l cant see how people dont understand the concept that if someone else has a wave already to stop & get out of their way. l was smashed off my board by some guy who snaked me & then bailed out. Im so sick of these ridiculos people out in the water! surfing is all about fun but its hard to enjoy when a bunch of kooks take ur wave

Look, this is why everyone passing through here looking to surf gets my take lessons & talk to ur surf shop speech. There is way more to surfing than just grabbing a board & heading out. Like the chick on here who wanted to know if it was possible to surf with her sunglasses on so she could ''look good.''

Posers suck. Drop in on them & see how they like it. Everyone wants to tell u to not be aggro but sometimes u gotta be.
