what are the different kinds of surfboards? How are they different from each other??

there are to many boards and styles to name if your asking this all you really need to know thick and wide easyer to catch waves but not alot you can do once your in thin narrow and 6,2 and under is for advanced cutting ,air,a rocket

malibu
mini mals
funboards
fish
eggs
hybrids
shortboards
thrusters
twin fins
single fins
retro's
guns
semi guns
tow boards
and l am sure many I've missed. They all catch waves & r used differntly but there is a lot of overlapping of styles as well & I've seen guys on mals & longboards rip & get air just as I've seen guys on short boards just cruise on waves as well. So choose a board that suits & just get out there.
