Well Slater is from Florida, so you know they must get some good surf.

Depends on where in Florida you are. The gulf side is really crappy for surfing.

It is not generally considered good, but yes Slater and the Hobgoods are from Florida. Like any place though, you gotta search! That is what it is all about - well most of it anyway.

But if that is what you've got to work with and what you live closest to, work it.
