What are the steps to surfing. Like the Step 1, Step 2, and so on

step 1 - move to the beach
step 2 - buy a surfboard
step 3 - paddle out often

Beginners should take a lesson or two through their local shop. Surfing is like driving & there r rules u need to know before u just paddle out. Also, a shop can tell u the best place for beginners & help introduce u to the local surf community.

1) Head to the beach
2) Figure out where/ how the waves are breaking
3) Paddle out
4) Position yourself so that you can get a wave
5) Pick a wave
6) Catch the wave and pop up
7) Surf it

1) Take a lesson first - always a good idea to make sure u learn the fundamentals.

2) Practice as often as possible - it is the only way u will get better.

3) Enjoy yourself.

If u want the technical answer:

1) Watch the waves for awhile to get a feel for the pattern of the waves & ocean

2) Paddle out beyond where the waves r breaking (the line-up, u should see other surfers there waiting to catch waves if u can not figure it out yourself)

3) When u see the wave u want to catch, face the shore & watch over ur shoulder for the wave

4) When u feel the wave pulling u back towards it, start paddling as hard as u can towards the shoreline

5) When u feel the wave take control (fast rushing movement forward) hold the sides of ur board halfway between the center of ur board & the nose of ur board & push yourself up into the standing position, keeping ur center of gravity low - try to do it all in one fluid motion - do not go to ur knees first - BAD HABIT!

6) Balance & let the wave carry you

7) When the motion of the wave dies down, lay back down on ur board

8) Turn around & paddle back out

9) Repeat Repeat Repeat

Okay well u have to have a beach & a surfboard. If u have never surfed before u should probably have an instructor or a friend/family member who has surfed before & can help you. They r going to tell u to do this:

Step 1:Lay ur board down on the sand & lay on top of it.
Step 2:Pretend u r out in the ocean & start paddling when u ''see a good wave over ur shoulder''. You want to have good paddles but do not let ur arms go on top of ur board or over ur head keep them on the sand/water.
Step 3: You have to learn to pop up. In great speed u have to pop up with ur arms, stand IN THE MIDDLE of the board, hold u arms out for balance, bend ur knees & if u feel u r leaning to one side lean to the opposite side.
Step 4: Repeat Step 3 until u feel u have it pack down.
Step 5: Get an experienced surfer to hold ur board while u get on it in the water & to push u out on a good wave.
Step 6:SURF YOUR HEART OUT!!!!!!!!!!!
Step 7: When u get better try doing it without the helper. You will have to look over ur shoulder to find a good wave.

Find a surfering instructor on the beach. Before taking lessons practice: 1 push ups, & 2. than shoot ur legs under ur chest & stand up. These process will get u started & 4. would be balancing using a ball under a board & practice shifting ur weight back & forth, or ride a skate board.

The first three steps r like the military push up, knee to the chest, & standup excercise. Really easy to do..the 5. step would be watching the current, tide, channel & lineup of the waves. When u advance in surfing u will have common knowledge how to paddle out throught the channels, & how to come in through the currents, tide & channels. 6. finally, u paddle out surfing the waves, & the more u practice the more radical manuvers u achieve.
