Check with your local surf shop.
There is no way for us to know what kind of waves you will be riding or what your skill level is. You sound like a big guy and anything over an 8 footer would be a good choice. You will want something thick 2 1/2 inches maybe, in order to attain maximum bouyancy in the water.

Depends on how good you are, I'd say start with something around eight feet.

l would suggest 9' to 10'. They will be good for someone your size. l am 6'5 240 lbs, and have had both. l liked the 9' better because it was more maneuverable than the 10' but that is my preference.

l suggest u get a 7-8 feet long board. so youlle have more space to stand on . get a sector 9 they rock!
