l mean the kind that pull mind blowing airs and drop knee with skill.
l had to add this. Everyone is referring to what l said not to. Come to Hawaii and you will see bodyboarders blowing surfers minds. Getting deeper, higher, and dropping into some BEASTS. Jus rememba, l not only talking about Cali bra. And over here, get plenty surfers that respect and are good friends with bodyboarders.It always seems to be the Cali guys that have pilikia with the bodyboarders.

Has anybody ever seen a bodyboarder rip drop knee before! It is very close to surfing and more difficult. It is not only on the belly people!! If you do not think so try it

They do not see it as a real sport, but a cop-out. Surfing is the real thing and it is a waste of waves to just belly-ride them on a biscuit. Now, l do not care who rides what, this is just the general idea, and opinions, they're like a**holes, everybody has one..

Surfers need more room to work with and once committed to a ride its up to the body boarder to give way,,like shipping channels,,larger vessels have the right away..

Beacuse all you little shark buiscuits keep munching all of the good swells, which our beach hardly ever gets, and it is not fair.

some surfers have no respect for them because they often get in the way. also, usually people start out boogie/body boarding before they move to surfing, so they may consider them slightly below them in a way. l have a lot of respect for them, because they are absolutely amazing, and l was boogie/body boarder before l learned to surf. you dont need a surfboard under your feet to have an extreme time in the water.

because surfing is harder and needs more room.. body boarders could go bodyboard in their bath tubs and leave the waves for surfers.. no offense =)

l think that surfers do not like body boarders for 2 reasons. Surfers want to catch the waves, & body boarders r just more competition. Surfers want to surf a wave, or at least see what could have been by watching someone else catch it. This is why some shortboarders also hate on longboarders. Also, bodyboarding is usually a sport that u try as a kid, then move to surfing. This does not mean that it is not as good, its just that it causes the sport to carry a little bit of a childishness to it.
